FORMER Hamilton footballer Liam Picken looks set to be a Bulldog for life after he signed a new two-year deal with the Western Bulldogs.
Picken’s new deal will see him stay at Whitten Oval until at least the end of the 2019 season, and ultimately finish his AFL career as a one-club player.
Despite being a free agent and out of contract at the end of the season, the premiership hero said he always wanted to stay with the club that first gave him the chance to play AFL.
“It was an easy decision,” Picken told the club’s website.
“They gave me my first opportunity and I love this club.
“I was just concentrating on footy, so when the club came to me, I was more than happy (to re-sign).
“It’s exciting times so it’s going to be great to stick around.”
