Back to Horsham for Portland girls
PORTLAND will once again make the trek to Horsham on Sunday for round three of the Deakin University Female Football League, this time taking on Horsham Demons.
The Tigers are coming off their first loss of the season, a 29-point defeat at the hands of Horsham Saints, but a bounce back could be on the cards.
The Tigers were competitive in their match against the Saints, but inaccurate kicking in front of goal proved costly, an aspect of the game which needs to improve this weekend.
Horsham Demons also went down for its first loss of the season in round two, going down to South Warrnambool by 26 points.
Of the two sides, Portland has been the highest scoring team with vice captain Chloe Leighton the team’s leading goal kicker with three majors while Lydia Davis and Macy McKindley each have two.
For the Demons, Charlotte Launder and Ruby Redford have each kicked two goals.
