Victorian Country Karting Series coming to Portland
THE Portland District Karting Club will be abuzz with action across the weekend when it hosts round three of the Victorian Country Series at Yarraman Park.
Around 200 karters are expected to compete during racing on Sunday, with 13 classes on offer, each racing in qualifying, two 11-lap heats and a 16-lap final.
The Victorian Country Series is a six-round competition held across country Victoria.
The first round of the series was held in Ballarat with the second in Cobden, and after the round in Portland, the series will finish with meets in Horsham, Hamilton and Warrnambool.
Club spokesman Paul Parker said they’re hoping for a high calibre of racers to participate.
