Kangaroos’ thirds still in the finals hunt
THE Hamilton Kangaroos remain in the under 18.5s finals hunt for season 2017 of the Hampden Football League.
The seventh placed Kangaroos are not only a mathematical chance with seven rounds to go, but importantly are a legitimate finals contender.
“Obviously the goal is still to try and push for finals,” Kangaroos coach Jon Manson told The Spectator.
Manson described today’s away assignment against Cobden as “really important” and one where the Kangaroos need to get over the line.
“Then we’ve got a few winnable games on the way in, so we’re still a mathematical chance, we’ve just got to win basically,” he said.
“If we win our games, that should basically take care of itself.
“If other teams lose here and there, well that will help us out a bit too.”
