Mire an international hit after maiden century
FORMER Hamilton and District Cricket Association cricketer Solomon Mire has cemented himself as Zimbabwe’s opening one-day batsman after a terrific record-breaking series against Sri Lanka.
Known for his quick scoring, the former College all-rounder notched up his first one-day international century (112) against Sri Lanka in game two of the five-match series, Zimbabwe won the series 3-2.
The 27-year-old hit 14 boundaries in his innings and scored 112 in just 96 deliveries.
