Tigers stagger as Blues romp home to a big win
PORTLAND will be left searching for answers after a stunning fade out during its Hampden Football League clash against Warrnambool at Reid Oval on Saturday.
For three quarters the Tigers were up an about and were a genuine chance of upsetting the Blues on their home deck, trailing by just 14 points at the final change after booting the last goal of the third quarter.
Warrnambool prevailed in stunning fashion however, stamping out any chance of an upset loss with seven unanswered goals in the final term to run out 18.12 (120) to 9.8 (62) winners.
Midfielder Daniel Falcone played on of his best games for the season for Portland, named best on ground alongside Harris Jennings, Daniel Jackson and Kye Taylor while Jay Moody, Jarrod Holt and Dylan Barr each kicked two goals.
