Last of trio on trial
CONFESSED murderer Samuel Worthy was set to give evidence yesterday in his trial over the killing of Joshua Kane at Mt Eccles (Budj Bim).
The Supreme Court hearing was heard in Warrnambool earlier in the week but moved to Melbourne for what is expected to be the final day of the hearing before sentencing.
Stuart Campbell and Lanie Snell have both already been sentenced to long prison terms for their roles in Mr Kane’s killing.
Justice Jane Dixon said on Wednesday she was hearing a contested plea on the basis that there were some issues as to particular roles taken by individuals involved in the killing that were disputed.
