Teenagers ready to celebrate Spring Break
THE Hamilton Performing Arts Centre will be abuzz tomorrow night with the third annual Spring Break Festival kicking off from 7pm.
A FReeZA and Western District Health Service initiative, the event will see teenagers from 12 to 18 share in the fun of live music, rides, a health pop up shop, photo booth, arcade games and competitions, with some great prizes to be won.
All committee members working at the event are guided by WDHS Youth Engagement Officer, Wendy Dean is also there to help manage and support the festival.
“Our aim is to provide teenagers in Hamilton and surrounds with something to look forward to, something that is just for them,” Ms Dean said.
“Our hope for the future is to have an end of term festival for each school term, although the event is not just for those attending school, but is for anyone aged between 12 and 18 years in the region.
