Tracey shares strength during cancer battle
IT was the evening of dropping off her eldest child at university in Melbourne when Tracey Kruger found a lump under her breast.
Tracey, had just dropped Talina off at university in Melbourne and had gone back to a hotel for the night.
Whilst lying in bed that night, she found a lump which she described to feel like “an old fashioned switch.”
Without alerting husband Peter of the discovery, she booked in to see her General Practitioner a few days later in Hamilton.
“I thought that actually feels like something,” she said.
“I’m doing the check that I’m meant to be doing and there is something.
“I saw my GP and she was straight onto it.
“The whole process here in Hamilton was amazing and so streamlined. It made the most stressful time of your life easy. They were that good.”
Twenty minutes after a mammogram which caused concern, Tracey was getting a biopsy.
