Gunditj Mirring special administration ends
AN information session will be held in Portland tomorrow to explain the outcomes of the special administration of the Gunditj Mirring Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation.
The Registrar of Indigenous Corporations Anthony Beven appointed Paul Case from the Adelaide-based firm MLCS Corporate Pty Ltd as the special administrator on September 14 last year.
The special administration ends on Monday.
In a notice on the Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations website, Mr Case said the agenda for the meeting would include a final report on the outcomes of the special administration, an introduction to the corporation’s incoming board of directors and any questions from people attending the meeting.
He said it was a great opportunity for people to “discuss the special administration and celebrate the return of the corporation to members’ control”.
The corporation was registered in 2006 and has more than 450 members from 14 family clan groups.
The meeting will be held at 10am at the Dhauwurd-Wurrung Elderly and Community Health Service facility at 90 Julia St.
