Sculptures honour Dartmoor's fallen
CYRIL Spencer, of Drik Drik, and Lesley Smith, of Mumbannar, unveiled the sculptured mural of the landing at Gallipoli as part of the special memorial streetscape opening at Dartmoor on Anzac Day. TWO bales of hay
TWO bales of hay, which toppled from a truck, blocked the one left hand lane of the Ballarat Rd overpass in Hamilton on Sunday afternoon. The truck, which was travelling in an easterly direction, clipped a power pole at the bottom of the overpass, which caused two bales to topple from the truck. The accident happened about 4pm. Sergeant Graeme Arthur, of Hamilton, said a 39 year-old Hamilton man was served with a penalty notice for failing to secure his load. Picture: WAYNE DREW 030504wd10
