About 2000-2500 people passed through the doors on Sunday to browse the goods on offer. The most popular stalls included the Lions second hand goods stall, clothing stall and children's activities. HAMILTON man, Rex Macleod, made sure his two Samoyed beauties, Kate and Susie, were registered for the next 12 months when he picked up his registration tags on Tuesday. Southern Grampians Shire Council needs many more residents to follow his example. Registrations so far have fallen sharply from 2004 - they are down about 1600 dogs and 360 cats. The shire's local laws officers will conduct a randon doorknock across the shire this month to check on dog and cat registrations. A story on the campaign will be in Saturday's Spectator.
