IT’S time to treat your tastebuds to a night of wine and cheese … and the sounds of jazz.
Hamilton Institute of Rural Learning will hold its annual wine and cheese night on August 1, in the Hamilton Performing Arts Centre.
The event is to raise funds for the up-keep of HIRL.
An organiser, Chris Cole, reckons the event will be great entertainment.
“The evening will feature local swing band, TRAX, Portland Jazz band, Transit, and the On Stage singers,” Mr Cole said.
“Combined with this great entertainment will be the opportunity to taste the produce of the Western District.”
“Last year was a great success with nearly 200 people attending, and we expect an ever better turnout this year, so people wanting to attend should get in early to book their seat or table,” Mr Cole said.
