A NUMBER of Hamilton Powercor customers awoke yesterday morning without power.
Residents in Moore, Goldsmith, Byron, Eversley, Tennyson and Burns Sts, were without power early yesterday morning.
A spokesperson for Powercor said 134 customers were affected by the blackout.
“We received a call at 6.34am and a crew arrived at 6.45am,” the spokesperson said.
“A bird hit one of the high voltage lines and that line touched another high voltage line,” the spokesperson said.
Power was restored about 8am.
