EDENHOPE heads the junior competition with 27 points, well ahead of Wando Vale (18), Casterton (18) and Merino (9).
In Saturday’s round of games, Edenhope reached 8-92 cc in reply to Wando Vale’s 8-66. Best with the bat were Hugh Caldow (23) and Matt Storey (11). Best of the Wando Vale bowlers was Daniel Richardson with 3-11 while Anthony Fitzgerald (1-4), Matt Duerden (1-5), Toby Murrell (1-5), Kyle Carlin (1-11) and Sam Diegmann (1-17) all chimed in with wickets.
At Island Park, Casterton was all for 30 of which Jake Miller made 10. Best of the bowlers for Merino were Shane Bergroth (6-13) and Ryan Reedman (1-7).
Merino was then dismissed for 36. Casterton’s, Jacob Forbes took 4-4, Brandon Currie (4-9) and Justin Carlin 1-0.
Batting a second time, Casterton was 8-74 at stumps. Jake Miller made 30 (ret) and good contributors for Merino were Jack Shepherd (3-8), Simon Wright (2-6) and Ryan Reedman (2-13).
