A HOLDEN utility practically disintegrated after rolling a number of times on the Condah-Coleraine Rd about 3.30am on Sunday.
Leading Senior Constable David Tognon, of Branxholme, said the vehicle was travelling north when the driver lost control as it crossed the Crawford River bridge, skidding off the road and rolling a number of times before coming to rest on the eastern side of the road.
The engine was torn from the vehicle during the rollover and came to rest a short distance away.
Ldg Sen Const Tognon said the Coleraine man, who was travelling from Portland to Coleraine, was taken to Hamilton Base Hospital, but did not have life-threatening injuries.
Investigations are continuing into the cause of the accident.
