Emma-Jayne Schenk  |  DUNKELD residents have banded together to support a local family who lost their two young children in a heartbreaking house fire yesterday. The parents tried to save their three-year-old son and eight-year-old daughter in the early hours of the morning after waking to a blaze and hearing them cry out for them. Tragically, police believe the two children died in the inferno which occurred just before 3am yesterday. The fire also totally destroyed the family’s weatherboard house.
