LOCAL superbike rider, Lachlan Hill, has recorded a podium finish for the first time in the Australian Superbike Championships.
Hill, who last year finished seventh in his first championship series, returned from Broadford at the weekend with a fourth and two thirds, placing him in fourth on the championship standings.
Mac Racing, as the Macarthur-based rider’s team is titled, also came second in the Victorian 125gp Titles which was combined with the national championships.
The weekend’s results will give Hill a good platform for the championships as he strives for an overall top five finish.
