EXPECTATIONS are high at Westerns as the Roos prepare for the 2012 South West District Football Netball League season.
Senior players went through their paces in their first practice match, outside of intra-club contests, against East Warrnambool last Saturday at Alexandra Park.
It was a good hit-out for the Roos.
Westerns will enter the 2012 season as the reigning A Grade premier.
In fact, the club was represented in all six grand finals last year for a record of three premierships.
Premiership player and experienced campaigner Jodie Maybery will be in charge of the A Grade side this year as playing coach.
She will be assisted by B Grade mentor Lisa Bampfield.
Tiana Richardson is coach of the C Grade team.
The club has appointed Lee-Anne Nelson and Brooke Morrissey as joint coaches of the 17 and Under team.
Danielle and Natalie Marley are in charge of the 15 and Under outfit, while Vicki Clayton is coach of the 13 and Under team.
Kathryn Parsons has been appointed coach of the 11 and Under side.
