PORTLAND will regain its Speed Hurts (TAC Cup) representatives for tomorrow’s Western Border Football League contest against Hamilton Imperials at Hanlon Park.
The North Ballarat Rebels have a bye in the premier Under-18 competition.
This will enable Nathan Haylock, Jaydon Stiles and Ben Malcolm to suit up for the Tigers.
Malcolm impressed in his debut for the Rebels against the Dandenong Stingrays last weekend in Bendigo. Haylock was also named best player.
Their availability will help to counter one or two injury concerns for the Tigers, while Josh Chapman is also unavailable.
The North Ballarat Rebels encourage their players to return to play locally and enjoy the atmosphere of playing with their own club.
“We did something similar with Jaydon and Nathan last year,” Portland senior coach Jarrod Holt told the Portland Observer.
“When they weren’t playing with the Rebels they came back and played with us.
