TWO months after The Spectator reported security issues at the Coles redevelopment site, little has changed.
Vegetation has been cleared and peripheral rubbish removed, but neighbours at the Best Western Lonsdale Motor Inn said the doors of empty buildings were still left wide open and security fences often down.
Developer and owner, Churchbridge Capital, are responsible for the security and maintenance of the site.
When contacted in February the firm’s Gerald Rawson said security guards patrolled the site, but he could not name the company or give any further details. Mr Rawson could not be contacted last week.
Full report in today’s Spectator.
