GRAY St will be hit with an “urban menagerie”, according to objectors to a proposal to build six single-story dwellings on an empty block.
They claim the project will devalue the area and create a plethora of problems for nearby residents.
But despite receiving 12 public objections, the application was approved by Southern Grampians Shire councillors last week with the majority supporting the contentious application.
The issue divided councillors, with Cr Paul Battista and Cr Albert Calvano raising concerns over the suitability of the construction.
