THE Get Active Coleraine Expo is on this weekend and the whole community is invited to go along and be healthy.
The free event, organised by Southern Grampians Shire, will run from 10am until 3pm at the Coleraine Mechanics’ Hall, this Sunday will highlight the importance of health and wellbeing, encourage community participation and raise awareness of local opportunities.
There will be fun events and activities to recognise that all people like to be physically active in different ways.
Sporting clubs and organisations will showcase what they do and there will be interactive displays on different sports and opportunities to find out more information.
Health checks will be offered as well as a rock-climbing wall, cooking demonstrations and come and try activities like Zumba, Zumba for kids, yoga, laughter yoga, tennis and boxing.
The expo coincides with the 10am official opening of the newly resurfaced tennis courts, a free brunch will follow the opening and there will be the chance to play netball or tennis.
