THE Hurley name is well-known in Hamilton sporting and business circles.
Tony and Dale Hurley were stalwarts of the Hamilton Imperial Football Club and Kevin Hurley was a Hamilton player before he went to North Melbourne for several games before returning to Hamilton.
Tony’s son Damian played with various St Mary’s and Monivae College football teams before he left the district and moved to Melbourne.
Damian’s youngest son Michael Hurley is just 22, but has made a name for himself as a power forward at the Essendon Football Club. Michael was a good junior cricketer and footballer, and entered top-level football early when he joined the Northern Knights in the TAC Cup competition.
