DESPITE still not receiving a lease price from the Portland District Health board, the Sea View House Steering Committee expects to finalise its finances in the coming days.
Committee chairperson Myra Bourke said the group was yet to hear back from the board, but was still forging ahead.
The committee is looking to continue to run Sea View House as a supported residential service (SRS) but under the operation of the community group.
“We should have our finances, staffing levels and a good idea on our costs that has been prepared for us by Dean Brewster, from Brewster Walsh,” Mrs Bourke said.
“Dean has worked tirelessly for no profit on this, and indeed all of the Portland community has been fantastic in their support.
“We are humbled by this support and the committee will not rest until Sea View House is full of happy residents, staffed and managed well,” she said.
