VISITING volunteers from across the region and around the world have helped stop the spread of Radiata pine in the Lower Glenelg National Park.
Hamilton region volunteers are part of the Parks Victoria and Conservation Volunteers Australia (CVA) project which, this year alone, has seen 4273 pine wildlings removed from 262 hectares of the Lower Glenelg National Park and Mumbannar Reserve.
Managed by Conservation Volunteers Australia, and working with Parks Victoria and the Glenelg Hopkins Catchment Management Authority, the project is nearing the last month of removing invasive Radiata pine wildlings from the park.
