INVESTIGATIONS are continuing into the emu shooting at the Hamilton Botanic Gardens in May and police are encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
The emu, which had numerous nicknames including Stumpy and Edward, was shot and killed between 3.30pm on May 8 and 8.15am on May 9.
The event shocked the Hamilton community and was described by police as a cowardly and appalling attack on a defenceless animal.
Senior Constable Paula Cutler, of Hamilton Police said the investigation was ongoing.
