FASHION Hall of Fame designer, Lisa Barron, had a tough day judging this year’s Australasian Young Designers Wool Awards entries on Tuesday.
Ms Barron and her production manager, Kerith Barnett, made the trip from Melbourne to size up more than 80 young design students’ entries as part of the Hamilton-based Sheepvention program.
The winner of the big prize, the Handbury Scholarship, will travel to Milan, Italy, to study at fashion design summer school at the Istituto Marangoni.
Ms Barron has been designing clothes for celebrities and her own boutiques in Melbourne for more than 30 years.
