LOCAL Merino wool will be combined with wool from all over the world and wrapped around a three-storey fashion store in London.
The famous Harvey Nichols building sits in the exclusive shopping district of Knightsbridge and will feature brightly-coloured yarn, donated by passionate woolgrowers, in a bid to promote the natural fibre.
Sally and Richard Beggs, of Glenthompsons’ Nareeb Nareeb Merino stud, were disappointed when they missed out on taking part in the ‘Fit for a Prince’ project, where woolgrowers donated wool to dress Prince William.
Although the call-out to wrap the building was for thicker wool than their fine Merino product, the couple made sure they were a part of the latest campaign.
“Our stud had had a long association with the wool industry and we like to support these initiatives when they come about,” Mr Beggs said.
