HAMILTON’S National Party MPs have received positive feedback from the long awaited changes to the Fire Services Levy (FSL).
The legislation is set to pass through parliament, almost two years after the Coalition won the Victorian election with a promise to change the FSL system.
The FSL will switch over from a charge on insurance policies, to a property-based charge.
The current system has been widely criticised by the Victorian Farmers’ Federation, business and home owners, insurance companies and CFA volunteers.
