TEENAGE Drumborg showjumping sensation Joseph Patterson has continued
his success at his sport’s elite level.
The 15-year old recently returned from representing Australia in the International Showjumping Competition in Mauritius. With fellow junior rider New South Wales’ Samantha Tripp, Patterson jumped to a bronze medal, with Reunion taking out the gold and Mauritius silver.
He was pleased with his performance in the competition despite narrowly missing out on making it into a jump off for the gold medal
by two rails.
“That was a bit disappointing; we both had clean rounds at night (on the first day of competition) and in the second round which was a shorter course; we both had number four down which put us down in the placings”.
