TWO divisions of local freight company Noske Logistics that employ 75 people, have been placed into voluntary administration.
A company named Whitpark, which trades as Noske Logistics and Noske Plantation Logistics was put in the hands of Ferrier Hodgson partner John Lindholm and Brendan Richards on November 12.
In a letter to creditors on that same day, Mr Lindholm said trading will resume until the fate of the company is decided.
“In order to maintain the supply of services to the contract customers of the two related entities, it is necessary to ensure the company continues to operate its fleet uninterrupted,” Mr Lindholm said.
A Ferrier Hodgson spokesman said the company’s ability to meet customer requirements is unaffected by the appointment.
The first meeting of creditors took place yesterday morning.
Employees and contractors have been asked to outline how much debt is owed to them.
A second meeting of creditors will be held on December 17 to decide the company’s future.
