VICTORIA Police’s latest campaign, The Party’s Over, will be enforced during this year’s festive season to help stop fatalities on Victoria’s roads.
With history showing an increase in fatalities towards the end of the year, the State Government and Victoria Police are reminding the public the roads are not the place to party as Christmas festivities get underway.
The new advertising campaign uses imagery as a way of portraying Victoria Police as hosts of a party on our roads.
Hamilton Highway Patrol’s Sergeant Scott Williams, sent a warning to all drivers to do the right thing on the roads, or they would have to face the full force of the law.
“It’s plain and simple; we don’t want people dying on our roads,” he said.
“This close to Christmas time the last thing we want to be doing as police is delivering death messages to loved ones.”
