HARROW Discovery Centre is very proud to be home to the world’s largest collection of match used and historic Bradman memorabilia and is offering the community the chance to have a piece of that.
Among the collection of rare and significant pieces, are originals of the first and last team photographs of Don Bradman’s career.
The first shows a 20-year-old Bradman proudly standing with his district club of St George in its 1928 – 1929 season and the last, Bradman at age 40 in The Invincibles post-war 1948 tour of England.
The 1948 Invincibles team photograph is arguably, one of the most remarkable items in the Harrow Bradman Collection.
To cap off its wonderful story, the original photograph is accompanied by a letter of covenant from Sam Loxton, the original owner of the photograph and a member of that Invincibles team.
In a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, the Harrow Discovery Centre has commissioned 452 limited edition replicas of each of these rare collectibles.
