MOST people take it easy when they turn 80 and try to keep celebrations with family and friends low key.
But, someone forgot to tell Casterton’s most recent octogenarian Betty Speed that she was supposed to sit at home and put her feet up to celebrate her 80th birthday last Sunday.
Instead, she went to the Casterton Swimming Pool at 10am, as she does every Sunday during the summer months when the pool is open, and set about to swim her customary 20 laps of the pool.
