Ali Ross and Sam Kerber began their senior representative careers for the HDCA by getting the team away to a solid start.
Both batsmen were strong on the drive with Ross also adding some sweetly timed cut shots to anything that was short.
They gave Hamilton the best start seen by an opening pair years as the score mounted against an attack that was far from poor.
