FINALS cricket comes to the district tomorrow night, as the semi-finals of the Hamilton and District Women’s Cricket Association are staged in both A grade and B grade.
The teams that make up the competition have been broken up into the top four (A grade) and then the next four (B grade) as they vie for the right to meet in the grand finals, which will be held at Young Oval on Sunday afternoon.

Portland Tigers have been the dominant force in the women’s competition for the last few years and this season has been no different.
The Tigers will face Grampians Pumas and there is history between these two teams that dates back many years with the Tigers having had the best of the Pumas for much of that time.
Tigers’ skipper Rose Wombwell has her young team playing a great brand of cricket and she will be looking to the Nolte sisters, Claire and Sarah, to lead the way with the ball when they take to the field.
