THE Hamilton Kangaroos will be showcased in three stand alone Sunday fixtures as part of their 2014 Hampden Football Netball League season campaign.
And in another key component of the draw released this week, the Kangaroos will again feature as one of three Anzac Day drawcards.
The 2014 season will kick off on April 5 with the Kangaroos scheduled to meet Cobden in an away contest for their season opener.
Round Two will feature the Kangaroos’ first Sunday fixture of the 2014 season.
The Kangaroos will host last season’s grand finalist Koroit at Melville Oval.
All clubs will then have a break over the Easter weekend before a huge Round Three swings into action on April 25.
Portland and the Kangaroos will feature in one of three matches scheduled for Anzac Day.
The Tigers will defend the Ted Kenna VC Memorial Cup against the Kangaroos at Hanlon Park.
Portland and the Kangaroos were the two ‘new kids on the block’ in season 2013.
The Tigers won their inaugural Anzac Day encounter before a finals-like crowd at Melville Oval.
Both clubs will again share centre stage in a contest which will pit Jarrod Holt (Hamilton Kangaroos) and Jake Myles (Portland) against each other for the first time in their new coaching roles.
Holt will coach against his former club for the first time.
Other Anzac Day matches will feature Koroit and South Warrnambool, along with Cobden and Camperdown in a night contest.
Round Three will be completed on the Saturday with matches between Warrnambool and the North Warrnambool Eagles, along with Port Fairy and Terang Mortlake.
