SHOW your compassionate side this Christmas and buy an extra present to place under the Christmas tree in Toyworld, Hamilton to give to those less fortunate than yourself.
The Hamilton Uniting Church and Toyworld have joined forces to encourage people to donate a gift.
“The Christmas tree at the front (of Toyworld) is an opportunity for people when they buy a present for a family member or friend for Christmas that they can buy another present and put it under the tree,” Uniting Church Reverend, Peter Cook said.
“We will distribute those through our own network and in conjunction with the other different agencies around … They will be given out over the whole district.”
Toyworld owner, Trish Munro said the gifts did not necessarily have to be bought at Toyworld.
“If people have gifts they want to put under the tree but haven’t bought here they are more than welcome to,” Ms Munro said.
If you plan on leaving a present under the tree, please mark whether it is for a male or female and what age group it would be suitable for.
