LAKE Hamilton has played host to two big days of regatta rowing action.
The Warrnambool based Nestles Rowing Club kick started the action with its annual regatta, followed by the Hamilton Rowing Club regatta on the Sunday.
Rowers from Strathcona Girls School, TCLC (Strathcona), Ballarat City, Sacred Heart College (Geelong), Hawthorn Rowing Club (Melbourne), Lake Colac Rowing Club, Melbourne University, Hamilton and Alexandra College, Hamilton Rowing Club and Nestles Rowing Club took centre stage over the two days.
In Saturday’s action, Wolfgang Henry and Zak Doherty (Hamilton RC) were among the best performed local rowers with victories in their singles and as a doubles combination.
Results also featured a tie with College in the male D grade four.
Proving that age was no barrier, the oldest competitor was 72-year-old James Weatherly, from Lake Colac, who contested a number of races on both days.
He started his single with a 32 second handicap delay.
The majority of the female races were dominated by the Strathcona Girls School.
