THE Hamilton Kangaroos have completed the first important phase of their pre-season preparation for the 2014 Hampden Football Netball League season.
The Kangaroos have been on the training track since November 11 and will now have a three week break from official duties over the festive period.
They will resume their pre-season campaign on January 13.
New senior playing coach Jarrod Holt has been happy with what he’s seen as players have applied themselves in the lead up to Christmas and New Year.
“The attendance at training has been really good as well,” he told The Spectator following training on Wednesday evening.
“Everyone has their different views, I guess, about this time of the season.
“My theory is you get the boys there as often as possible and doing as much work as possible, and it holds you in good stead for when you come back.
“Get that fitness base behind you.”
The Kangaroos have also concentrated on skill work during this period.
