AFTER a very successful 18 months, the Casterton Co-op is moving to a bigger and better home.
While it’s only a short walk from their current home, taking over the old IGA store will allow the Co-op to expand on their existing product lines.
Manager Ann Dalby said the move would take place over the January long weekend and offer new opportunities for the business and for customers.
But the decision to move wasn’t made lightly.
“There has been a lot of thought and talk about it,” Mrs Dalby said.
“We like it where we are and our customers like where we are but moving will allow is to expand.”
Clyde Lawrence started the ball rolling for the Casterton Co-op after the hardware store closed down.
Mrs Dalby said the original hope was that the hardware store could be re-opened.
“There wasn’t enough support for hardware so we decided to look into homewares,” she said.
