CHRISTMAS is a time of many traditions – turkey, ham, gift giving, family gatherings and midnight mass to name but a few.
In Hamilton, Joyce Groves’ home has become part of the local Christmas landscape.
The 83 year-old, pictured with her dog, Mackie, said she was unsure just how long she had been turning on the lights and installing decorations at her Milton St home.
One thing more certain is the creation is all of her own doing.
“I won’t let anyone touch my gardens or my lights,” Joyce said.
“I like to do it myself – I know what I am doing.
“I just love doing it. I’ve already got in mind what I want to do next year.”
Joyce was one of about 40 householders to switch on the lights at their home this Christmas.
