BYADUK enters the second half of the Bendigo Bank HDCA A grade 2013-14 competition with the ammunition to still be a force in the finals if they can play as a unit.
Since re-entry into the top grade, the Ducks have been thereabouts without being a threat come finals time and this summer is the chance for the club to make its mark.
With only two wins to date it appears that they have under-performed in the first eight rounds, but it must be remembered that the second placed team has only two more victories at the same stage.
The club has been unable to field the same 11 for two games in succession yet and this has a destabilising influence on any team as players never settle into the roles within the side.
Players are constantly being rotated up and down the batting order and bowling at different stages, which does not allow anyone to become confident in their abilities as they are constantly asked to be players within the same side.
Of course, all teams have their stars and the Ducks are no exception with Jonathan Jenkins, Toby Knight and Hugh Douglas being the three main players for the team.
