A MAN is set to be charged after he was caught speeding with a child in the car in Hamilton on Monday.
Hamilton Highway Patrol members allegedly observed the green Holden Commodore sedan travelling at speeds of 130km/h in a 60km/h zone on Ballarat Rd about 5.35pm.
Police intercepted the vehicle and discovered the 22-year-old driver had a two-year-old child in the car.
The Hamilton man is expected to be charged on summons with various traffic related offences.
He will receive a notice to surrender the vehicle at a later date.
Hamilton police are appealing for witnesses after the man was noticed driving at excessive speeds along a section of Ballarat Road on Monday afternoon.
