THE Portland Tigers have held on for a nail-biting win against a resilient Gorae-Portland side on the weekend.
The Go-Ports clawed their way back into the contest after trailing by just 18 runs at the end of the first innings at Alexandra Park.
The Tigers made 125 runs with the bat, thanks largely to 46 runs from captain Dennis O’Loughlin which guided the side to first innings points.
After falling short in the first innings the Go-Ports came out with a point to prove at the start of the second innings as they attempted to reduce the slender deficit created in the first half of the match.
