THE upgrade of Devlins Rd at Narrawong remains in limbo – six years after the project was allocated Federal Roads to Recovery funding.
A spokeswoman for the Glenelg Shire Council said earlier this week the council was still going through the process of securing native vegetation offsets.
“This is a requirement to be completed and agreed to with Department of Environment and Primary Industries (DEPI) prior to the commencement of works,” she said.
“Council is working closely with the Department to ensure this process is completed expeditiously.
“Works will be scheduled to be completed within the resource of council’s construction team following this requirement being met.”
