CASTERTON’S Leanne Balkin, pictured at her clothes stall, was one of the stall holders at Portland District Health’s (PDH) summer market on Friday evening.
The summer market was a community fundraiser for new special care facilities at PDH.
It is planned to redevelop two rooms in the hospital’s sub-acute ward into a new special care room which will provide facilities for palliative care, caring for people with dementia and others needing close monitoring.
The remodelling is expected to cost more than $30,000.
