VICTORIAN Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) released 58,585 main round offers to 75 per cent of Australian undergraduate university courses in 2014 on Friday.
This is 705 more than in the main round last year and brings the total number of undergraduate offers issued so far to 71,571.
The Hamilton and Alexandra College students, James McClure and Hannah Bensch were both accepted into the university courses they applied for.
James was accepted into a Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne, which was his first preference and he has applied to stay on residence at Trinity College.
“It is an opportunity to try different things and find out my passion,” he said yesterday.
Hannah was accepted into a Bachelor of Health Science at the University of Adelaide and plans to stay on residence at St Marks College.
