PORTLAND golfer Clint Foster has returned triumphant from the International Masters Golf Championship after he was victorious in Tasmania last week. The event is based within the Hobart area and incorporates two rounds each at the Royal Hobart Golf Club and the Tasmania Golf Club. An official handicap is required to compete in the tournament, which holds 15 different divisions to cater for the diverse range of ages and handicaps of the players. Foster competes off scratch, a testament to the hard work he has put in against the odds after sustaining a wrist injury overseas in 2012. Read more in Wednesday’s Portland Observer, January 29, 2013.
